A Break in the Clouds

On my last hike in the Grand Canyon, we had an unseasonable amount of rain. The weather in the canyon is very unpredictable, and can vary depending on which rim you are on.

On our way out, a major storm was hitting the North Rim, across the canyon from us. This shot was captured when the sun momentarily broke through. It was, of course, much more spectacular in person. For scale purposes, the rim you see was 8-10 miles away from us, hence the haziness.
