Well, now that DSLR cameras are close to $500 entry level, I've seen lots of this type of shot around this year. I don't usually like to do what everyone else is doing, but to be fair, I shot this on July 3rd, before I saw everyone else doing it. :)
Anyway, I don't care if the snobs find it cliched, I happen to like the effect, and I'll probably post a few more from the series.
FYI, I shot these handheld, which is why they're not geometrically perfect, and I rather like it that way. I think this one looks like a jellyfish. (Title from Naked Gun)

I like the imperfection of the trails. There are so many straight shots that the movement in this is refreshing. I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling but too many neat clean shots can get a bit wearing.
